FAQs

What is Denaria?

Denaria is a Perpetual DEX that allows you to trade perpetual contracts in a fully decentralized way, without the need for intermediaries. It works as a PWA (Progressive Web App), which means it offers a user experience similar to an app, but it is essentially like saving a browser bookmark directly to your smartphone’s home screen.

This architecture primarily works on mobile devices in this first version.

Is Denaria a mobile application that I can download from stores (like Apple Store or Google Play)?

Denaria is a Progressive Web App (PWA), a modern type of application that you can install directly from your web browser.

Unlike traditional apps requiring store downloads, Denaria can be installed directly from your browser to your home screen, providing full app functionality without intermediaries. This deployment method offers cross-platform compatibility, automatic updates, and reduced storage requirements while maintaining native-like performance and offline capabilities.

How do I sign up and log in to Denaria?

Denaria Perpetual DEX uses Passkeys to create your on-chain wallet.

To sign up from your smartphone, you will need an email and a referral code

Simply verify your email, which will be used to create your Passkey and, consequently, your new dedicated on-chain wallet. The referral code is usually retained automatically after scanning the QR code; otherwise, you can enter it manually.

If the code is not captured automatically, you can also use the referral code “cor-land”, shown below the QR code during installation.

During the sign-up process, you will be asked to confirm twice using FaceID, fingerprint, or PIN.

If you experience issues with passkey synchronization, please refer to the section "I can’t set up my passkey, what should I do?".

How do I log back to Denaria after logging out?

I/f you log out and wish to log in again, you will need to use your email and the authentication method (FaceID/fingerprint/PIN).

It is important to use the same credentials you originally registered with, as your wallet is linked to them. Changing or losing access to your email or biometric data makes it impossible accessing your Smart Wallet and your funds.

To ensure a smooth login experience, make sure your device retains the authentication settings used during registration.

What are passkeys and how do they work with Denaria?

Denaria uses passkeys as a secure and user-friendly way to authenticate users and sign on-chain transactions. Instead of creating a traditional wallet or managing seed phrases, users simply register a passkey that uses biometric data (such as Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN) stored on their device.

Once the passkey is set up, it becomes the method for signing all transactions, replacing traditional private keys. Authentication is required each time a transaction is executed, ensuring both security and ease of use.

Key advantages of passkeys:

  • Advanced security: Credentials never leave the device.
  • Ease of use: No need to remember complex passwords or recovery phrases.
  • Interoperability: Compatible with various operating systems and devices.
  • Strong authentication: Based on biometrics or integrated device methods.

How can I recover my passkey?

At the moment, passkeys on Denaria cannot be recovered. The creation and secure storage of your passkey is the sole responsibility of the user.

We strongly recommend saving it in a trusted password manager, such as Google Passwords or iCloud Keychain, during the setup process.

⚠️ If you lose access to your passkey, you may permanently lose access to your Denaria Smart Wallet and any associated activity.

A recovery system for passkeys is currently in development and will be released soon.

Once available, the instructions and updates will be published here.

I can’t set up my passkey, what should I do?

If you're having trouble setting up the passkey on your device, here are a few useful tips:

  • Make sure you’re using a compatible browser, such as Google Chrome on Android or Safari on iOS. Other browsers may not properly support passkeys.

  • Verify that your device supports Passkeys authentication (e.g. Face ID, fingerprint) and that it is enabled in your settings.

  • Ensure you didn’t deny the passkey creation request the first time. If you did, try refreshing the page and going through the process again.

  • Check that your browser storage isn’t full or restricted, as this may prevent the passkey from being saved.

  • If you're using incognito/private mode, avoid creating the passkey from there. Use a regular browser window instead.

To better understand how passkeys work, you can refer to Google's official introduction:

What is the Smart Wallet/Smart Account?

The initial address created is an EOA (Externally Owned Account).

When the first transaction is made, this address is transformed through the passkey signature into a Smart Wallet or Smart Account. This Smart Account is managed using the created passkey.

By clicking on your Smart Wallet, you will be redirected directly to Linea Scan, a popular block explorer for the Linea network, where you can view all your on-chain transactions made with Denaria.

How can I update the app?

Since Denaria is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and not a traditional mobile application downloaded from app stores, updates occur server-side and are not automatically applied

When an important update is released, Denaria will notify you with a message similar to the one shown below.

To update the app, simply follow these steps:

  1. Close the app from the apps drawer.
  2. Reopen the app from your home screen.

By following these steps, the application will reload, incorporating the latest updates.
