FAQ
How do I log back into Denaria after logging out?
If you log out of Denaria, you can log back in using the email address associated with your account and your registered passkey.
Your passkey can be authorized through your device's authentication method, such as Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN.
It is important to use the same email address associated with your Denaria account, as your smart wallet is linked to it.
If you lose access to the device containing your passkey, Denaria's permissionless recovery system can allow you to register a new passkey with the approval of your previously selected Guardian.
What are passkeys and how do they work with Denaria?
Denaria uses passkeys to authenticate users and authorize onchain transactions without requiring traditional seed-phrase management.
A passkey is securely stored through your device or operating system and can be unlocked using familiar authentication methods such as Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN.
Once configured, your passkey is used to authorize actions within Denaria, including trading and wallet transactions.
Denaria itself does not have access to your passkey or biometric information.
Key advantages of passkeys include:
- Strong security – authentication credentials are protected by your device and operating system.
- Simple UX – no seed phrase needs to be manually entered for everyday use.
- Fast transaction signing – authorize actions using familiar mobile authentication.
- Recovery support – Denaria's Guardian system can help restore access if the original passkey is lost.
What happens if I lose my passkey or my phone?
Losing your phone does not necessarily mean losing access to your Denaria wallet.
Denaria provides a permissionless passkey recovery system that allows users to nominate another trusted Denaria user as a Guardian.
If you lose access to your original passkey:
- Log into Denaria using the email associated with your account.
- Start a recovery request and create a new passkey.
- Your Guardian receives an in-app recovery request.
- Once the Guardian approves it, the new passkey is authorized.
- You regain access to the same smart wallet and funds.
The process is peer-to-peer and permissionless. Denaria cannot access your passkeys, recover your wallet independently, or take control of your funds.
I can't set up my passkey. What should I do?
If you're having trouble creating or using a passkey, try the following:
- Make sure your device and operating system support passkeys.
- Make sure device authentication such as Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN is enabled.
- Use an up-to-date version of your browser.
- If you previously cancelled or denied the passkey creation request, reload Denaria and try again.
- Avoid using private/incognito browsing when creating your Denaria account.
- Check that your browser and operating system are not blocking passkey functionality.

How can I update the app?
Denaria is distributed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) rather than through a traditional mobile app store.
When a new version is available, you may be prompted to reload the application.
To make sure you are running the latest version:
- Close Denaria completely.
- Reopen it from your home screen.
The application will reload and retrieve the latest available version.
